I know the racing channel has a best ride thread but what about the worst ride you have ever seen.
Paul Carberry would have a few entries in my book but tnite at kilbeggan 6.55 on turn on the gas has to go close to the worst, stone cold last on a tight track on soft ground the horse performs miracles and appears in with a shout of winning but carberry runs it into the arse of the two leaders at the last coner.
what a clown.
feel free to post.

Mike Smith when riding Zenyatta in the Breeders Cup is probably the one single ride that left me feeling really angry, which is a little odd really considering that I have no real connection with the horse herself.
It's still amazing to watch it now, especially the early stages of the race where poor Zenyatta was held up too far back.

Zenyatta in the rear? Absolutely tailed off! Never seen anything as astonishing really and also felt cheated even tho i had no bet or connection to the horse. Worst ride for me (and it cost me) was fallon on bosra sham. Shocking!

agree 100%. Then the disgusting, lazy, over-confident, incompetent idiot whacking the poor horse about 50 times in the final furlong.

I have watched the race and on the 2nd of 3 circuits..Carberry had the horse 4 or 5 from the back. If you watch the race closely, you will see the horse nearly fall and because of this , ended up in last place. Had to make up a lot of ground after that. Also made a bad mistake early on.....One to be on next time I think. Martin

Tom Queally was shocking on Frankel in the SJP at Ascot.
Thankfully the wonderhorse got him out of trouble. Queally did everything wrong on Frankel that day.
An awful ride can still be a winning ride can't it?

Without doubt the worst ride " in history" belongs to, one Mr Greville Starkey, on the WONDER horse in the greatest race in the world!!!
A ride that cost him the ride in the second greatest race in the world, which his more than able deputy Mr Pat Eddery had an arm chair ride and duly delivered the goods!!
To say he was not sure the WONDER horse would stay, is in my humble opinion PATHETIC!
Arguement over, this was the WORST RIDE EVER!! FACT!!
