Now there's close and there close but Tommy.... the Canadian draws and acca.... you are well entitled to swear at Pompey, would have netted a beauty but still a nice profit i'm sure well done.
I'm happy enough with 4 outta my 6, Pompey cost me as well :-(

Cheers Nico, well done with your 4 from 6, I won't swear at Pompey as they have got enough problems at the moment, the 4 draws still does make a nice profit, 10p canadian & 10p acca (cost £2.70) with 4 draws at say 11/5 pays around £30, obviously if the draws a bit bigger at 12/5, 5/2 etc then it would pay more, 5 draws out of 5 at 11/5 in a 10p canadian + 10p acca would pay about £150+, so an equaliser for Portsmouth would have made me another £120 but that's the way it goes & I'm more than happy with my return from that bet & the other returns, of course if AC MILAN win tomorrow then I'll have even more coming my way, 6 out 6 in a heinz + acca, that will be nice!!!
COME ON MILAN!!!

All the luck in the world Tommy but........ sorry I really really fancy Arsenal, hope I'm wrong for your sake but this is why footy is so addictive its all about opinions. Just think Arsenal away from home are dangerous, speed on the wings, granted not the strongest at the back but think they could score a few and with RVP anything is possible.
Good luck again Tommy

Cheers Nico, maybe it will end up a draw now lol - I'll confess I have invested some money on a few back up bets and covered 1-1, 2-2, 2-1 Arsenal & 3-1 Arsenal because the odds make it worthwhile, the 5 winners in the heinz already makes enough anyway so I thought why not just have a little safety bet, as long as Arsenal don't win 1-0, 2-0 or 3-0 lol!!!
The earlier Champions League game looked to be going my way once CARDOZO made it 2-2 in the 87th minute, I was on 2-2 at 14/1 in a few different multiples & thinking I was in again only for SHIRIKOV to score in the 89th minute to make it 3-2 Zenit, maybe my luck has run out, if it has that's the way it is & I can't complain.
I'm definitely cheering on Milan tonight & then hopeful of the Europa League action going well tomorrow night although it does look a bit trappy, either way I've had a good couple of weeks & I've banked some nice profits.
Fingers crossed for MILAN tonight then the likes of MAN UNITED, SPORTING LISBON, SCHALKE & HANNOVER tomorrow, I'll see how my account/wallet looks after that lot & then decide what to do at the weekend, with it being the F.A. Cup I'll probably just have a minimal interest & wait instead for the european action again next week.
all the best
Tommy

It was never, ever in danger was it.........AC MILAN were brilliant, the Arsenal fans turned up but the Arsenal team certainly did not....
Another nice Heinz in the bag, I don't yet exactly how much because I didn't make a note of all the odds in the bookies & just got the team names listed on my slip so I'll only know when I get there, should be decent though with BLACKPOOL, READING & AC MILAN all odds against & the other 3 were about the 8/13 mark.
Attention now switches to the Europa League action on Thursday night & I did get involved with a few bets which included multiples combining my Champions League & Europa league picks as posted on the blog, the best bets in terms of potential success are these:
CANADIAN + acca:
BARCELONA LYON AC MILAN MAN UNITED SPORTING LISBON
First 3 have won & United & Lisbon have sound chances at fair prices so fingers crossed
HEINZ + acca:
BARCELONA LYON AC MILAN SCHALKE UNITED HANNOVER
again first 3 have won other 3 have sound chances at fair prices
Fingers crossed then for those & my other small stakes europa league bets, hopefully my luck will continue another night.
Please feel free to offer your own Europa League thoughts, you can see all my picks at http://www.bettingpreview.co.uk/blog/ if you are interested, first 2 did unfortunately lose last night but still another 14 ties to go at.
all the best

United are poor & only drawing, Schalke & Sporting Lisbon are both losing, now I know why I don't usually bother with the Europa League, good job I'm already well in front with the bookies as I don't seem too much coming tonight.
fingers crossed that somehow changes in the next hour.

Cheers Nico
United are winning & Sporting Lisbon have equalised so there is hope for my remaining main canadian
Schalke are losing so that puts a dent in the other bet, see how it goes last 10 minutes

Delighted to see United win in the end but SPORTING LISBON & SCHALKE let me down by drawing so ended up with 4 out of 5 in the canadian & 5 out of 6 in the heinz, not quite this time but happy enough overall.
There is no Premier League action this weekend & a bit of a dis-jointed football schedule overall because of it being F.A. Cup 5th round weekend so I'm going to ease off a bit & not do so many bets, for those of you interested my predictions for the 5th round F.A. Cup matches will be on-line from Friday morning at http://www.bettingpreview.co.uk/blog/category/fa -cup/
I'm personally not getting too seriously involved in those games apart from a few small stake correct score multiples, you never know with the cup matches & the odds for the outrights results don't appeal that much to be honest.
I will be having an interest in the Championship, League 1 & League 2 and here are the bets that I have done so far, I might do a couple more but not sure yet:
SUPER HEINZ + acca
SWINDON SOUTHAMPTON MK DONS TORQUAY SHEFFIELD UNITED CHARLTON SOUTHEND
HEINZ + acca (all draws)
Reading vs Burnley Crystal Palace vs Watford Forest vs Coventry Leyton Orient vs S****horpe Rochdale vs Bournemouth Walsall vs Wycombe
I'll probably have another look & I might do a few more multiples, might well be another bash at the draws, I am determined to crack a full bet with all draws up before the season is out!!!
Feel free to offer your thougths for this weekends football
Good luck & all the best
Tommy

Sorry to be so late responding to you Pboyle, also gutted to see that CHELSEA blew your bet apart before the day had really started, that result was a shock.
Interesting to see you mixing things up a bit with football & snooker, I do it now & again with horses & football and after all there is no difference whether you have 6 horses or 3 football teams, 2 snooker players & a rugby team in a lucky 63, odds are odds and hopefully winners are winners!!!
Regarding my own bets that I posted then I got 5 out of 7 in my Super Heinz which is ok, bit frustrating to see Charlton fail away & even more stunned to see Torquay lost at home to Bradford after taking the lead, that was strange.
My heinz with the draws was a disaster, simple as that, couldn't get a thing right with that one & even Nottingham Forest won scoring twice in a game, that was a shock but a good shock as my dad is a lifelong Forest fan & it was birthday yesterday so a nice belated present for him!!!
I did say that I might do a couple more football bets & I certainly did, I went to the bookies to collect my winning heinz from midweek & of course talked myself into another bet while I was there, I had goliath on my brain after doing a horse one so I thought what the hell & stuck 8 football teams into a 5p goliath just for the fun of it, thankfully 6 of the 7 teams that played actually won & I now just need TOTTENHAM to make it 7 from 8 and if that happens that will be another nice profit, as it stands now the bet is slightly in profit so that's a positive.
This time I will stick to my word & not do anymore bets until at least, erm, tuesday lol - I will be chering on TOTTENHAM tomorrow & then leaving all betting alone until Tuesday, there's more midweek european stuff to have a dabble at & a few lower league matches so I will probably do a few heinz bets or something like that, I will post them here once I've done them.
Thanks again for the input & keep it coming
all the best
Tommy

Well TOTTENHAM could not even beat League 1 Stevenage, more great tactical work by King Harry Redknapp the messiah, God, Saint & everything else thrown in if you believe the papers, still he can't get the tactics right & inspire a team to beat Stevenage, that makes him more than qualified for the England job.
Still 6 out of 8 in the Goliath & a profit so I will use the returns to pay fore my football bets this week, the Champions League matches will play a part in that & for those of you interested you can read my views on this weeks Champions League & Europa League action by logging onto
http://www.bettingpreview.co.uk/blog/category/ch ampions-league/
from tomorrow morning with full previews for the Champions League matches & predictions for the Europa League matches, it went well last week & hopefully this week will be the same.
I have already put on a few football multiples for the midweek action & here they are:
SUPER HEINZ + acca:
BARCELONA - WON REAL MADRID NAPOLI BAYERN MUNICH MARSEILLE CHARLTON MK DONS
The BARCELONA pick was for tonights game which they won 5-1 with MESSI getting 4, he's just incredible, he's already scored about 300 goals for Barcelona, might end his career with 600+.
CANANDIAN + acca (all draws)
Millwall vs Middlesbrough Blackpool vs West Ham Derby vs Leicester City Barnsley vs Birmingham City Hull City vs Brighton
anything is possible with the Championship matches & they can go either way but I think they are tight games & candidates for draws, worth a shot anyway at the prices.
If I do any more I'll try & post them here but I'm back at work Tuesday after 10 days off so I might not be able to log on until the action has kicked off so I'll see how it goes.
Good luck & all the best with whatever football bets you all go for & of course feel free to post them up here
Tommy
