With a £3 million refurbishment programme implemented for the new millennium, Brighton has been transformed into a comfortable and modern racecourse at which to enjoy a day's racing offering stunning views across the South Coast and Sussex Downs. Blessed with a number of unique characteristics, the course is particularly sharp with undulating terrain and represents a good test of jockeyship. Unsurprisingly, course specialists have been profitable to follow down the years.

Effect of the Draw

There is no real draw bias, except maybe on really soft ground when very low numbers are at a slight disadvantage as the runners tend to head for the stand rail.

Directions to the Racecourse

Location
Located up on White Hawk Hill close to the seaside town.

By Road
B2123 to Woodingdean/Rottingdean from the A27. Upon reaching Brighton's Road Bypass, turn right at the crossroads in Woodingdean and the course is approximatley one mile away.

By Rail
A free bus runs from Brighton to the course (2 miles) on racedays. There is an approximate travelling time of 50 minutes from London Victoria.

By Air
A Landing Pad is available with prior permission. Fixed wing landings at Shoreham Airport.

Parking
Car and Coach Parks are free.
