The last juvenile races until March!

Thanks for remaining loyal to this column for the last nine months....I look forward to seeing you the other side of midnight when the juveniles become three-year-old's, hopefully contesting lots of handicap events!

Happy New Year....

12.30 Lingfield:

MOMENT IN THE SUN is attracting plenty of attention at the time of writing, whilst MAJESTIC ZAFEEN (2ND 15/2) would be good enough to go close if stripping fit for his first run in six months.

ICE LOCH completes my trio against the field in a weak two-year-old handicap, the last nursery event until July.

Don't forget to make an entry relating to Red Clubs and his two-year-old handicap representatives next season.

12.30 Lingfield:

I noted Intomist being made favourite for this event in some publications overnight but this was surely never going to be the case with the likes of QUITE A THING and WASEEM FARIS having also been declared to run.

TAFFE (WON AT 5/1) might follow the pair home, albeit at a respectable distance.

4.10 Wolverhampton:

SWEET OVATION has half decent form recorded at the venue though on that subject, IONWY would have to be the call given his last two course and distance silver medal efforts.

CHAMBLES (WON AT 7/2) has been the subject of some support overnight whereby the Shamardal filly completes my tentative trio against the field.

2.35 Southwell:

BITAPHON has to be the call here with Deborah Sanderson boasting a level stoke profit of forty three points at the venue.

KARMA CHAMELEON (WON AT 13/8) is an obvious threat but Southwell can find out the best of horses where value for money is conspicuous by its absence.

Course winner SWEETNESSANDLIGHT (3RD 7/1) cannot be overlooked entirely.

3.10 Southwell:

Few horses run this surface as well as ISHIAMIRACLE (WON AT 15/8) and she really deserves a win after five 'in the three' efforts at the track.

AMBITIOUS ICARUS is the obvious threat.

4.20 Kempton:

Horses carrying weights of 8-13 or less have secured five of the six available toteplacepot positions to date whereby this year's lone 'qualifier' MR HENDRIX cannot be left out of the mix entirely (also a course and distance winner for good measure), despite what the form book might suggest.

12.40 Lingfield:

John Gosden's Bernardini colt DISCOVERER (D/H 2ND 9/2--EXACTA: 5/2) would not have to be an overly precocious type to score at the first time of asking though on all known form, BRONZE ANGEL (WON AT 10/11) should prevail.

SUJET BELLAGIO (D/H 2ND 13/2--EXACTA: 3/1) should emerge as the pick of the remaining twelve contenders.

4.50 Wolverhampton:

CHAUD LAPIN does not represent any value for money at the time of writing though that said, it's difficult to envisage victory for any of the other contenders, the pick of which might prove to be EL MCGLYNN (3RD 11/2).

.

12.10 Southwell:

Royal Applause stock excel at six furlongs, much the same way as the sire did himself whereby FARAWAY is taken to land this two-year-old handicap event at rewarding odds.

More obvious winners for those of you who don't like to take chance include SUNNY SIDE UP (2ND 6/1) and M J WOODWARD who might both reward each way players in what will hopefully remain a 'dead eight' contest.

WHISKY BRAVO (3RD 11/10) might well win but value for money is conspicuous by its absence in my book.

12.45 Southwell:

REGAL LADY is top rated via official figures yet still receives weight from two of her main rivals, such are the terms and conditions of this selling event.

1.15 Wolverhampton:

Thoughts are with Kenny and his family today obviously but as the old saying dictates, the show must go on.

HEY FIDDLE FIDDLE (WON AT 15/8) and LOOK AT ME NOW probably have too much experience and speed for David Barron's newcomer MAGILINI (2ND 11/4--CSF: 6/1), though not enough to stake a wager on this occasion.

That said, there is plenty of money in the positive queue on the exchanges at the time of writing for HEY FIDDLE FIDDLE if financial support influences your decision making.

1.50 Wolverhampton:

STAG HILL is the each way option to more two obvious types in the line up, namely FORTROSE ACADEMY and NOT BAD FOR A BOY.
